Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: June 23, 2026

DiscoveryVault is a shared service. These simple rules help keep it useful, secure, and available for everyone. Most people will never need to think about them: use the service normally, respect others, and follow the law.

Use the service fairly

Please do not:

  • use DiscoveryVault for unlawful activity;
  • infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other legal rights;
  • harass, threaten, exploit, or harm other people;
  • probe, attack, damage, or attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data;
  • bypass account, payment, credit, rate, or technical limits;
  • use bots, scripts, scraping, or other automation unless we have expressly authorized it;
  • overload, disrupt, or unreasonably interfere with the service.

What happens if there is a problem

We aim to respond proportionately. Depending on the situation, we may contact you, limit particular activity, temporarily restrict access, or suspend or close an account. Where practical, we will explain the issue and give you an opportunity to resolve it.

We may act immediately when necessary to protect users, the service, third parties, or comply with law. Serious or repeated misuse may lead to permanent loss of access.

Questions or mistakes

If you are unsure whether something is allowed, or believe your access was restricted by mistake, please contact us. Signed-in users can use the live support assistant and ticket system, or you can visit our Support page.
